Social Network Hierarchies - Leveraging Internet Relationships

Bridge Ratings was founded in 2001 by Dave Van Dyke. Originally formed as an audience ratings provider for markets 75 and smaller, the company evolved into a media consumption analysis research firm in 2003 after releasing a paradigm-changing study on the listening behaviors associated with terrestrial radio's expanding commercial breaks.

The company has gone on to focus on media consumption habits of users of traditional radio including Internet radio, social media, mobile use and media corporation performance.

The latest study to be published, "Social Media Hierarchies," uncovered a revolutionary new way to view the behaviors of consumers who use social media. This new awareness of how social networking is used has proven that businesses that follow their consumers through their various 'networking stages' of use can better leverage these potential customers for increasing business.

Presenter: Dave Van Dyke

Bridge Ratings Chief Executive Officer, Dave Van Dyke, former Vice President/Affiliate Relations for ABC Radio Networks and Vice President and Station General Manager of CBS/Infinity-owned and operated KCBS-FM in Los Angeles is widely-recognized for his radio station rebuilding successes, taking underperforming radio properties and turning them into high cash-flowing corporate contributors. His expertise in management, programming, sales, marketing, promotion and research also contribute to his successful track record and make him a unique manager suited for today's increasingly changing competitive environment.

Mr. Van Dyke founded his company, Radio Mentor, in August 2001. A broadcast management consulting company, Radio Mentor continues to provide station management a confidential, competent strategic resource during these rapidly changing times. Radio Mentor clients have referred to the service as “career insurance” and a source for management self-improvement in an age when corporate senior management has reduced support.

In 2002 Mr. Van Dyke founded and launched a media-focused behavioral research company called Bridge Ratings – a new audience measurement and consumption analysis service intended to reveal the multiple layers of media consumption. In 2005 the company introduced extensive audience behavioral analyses and advisement to help the industry better understand the impact of new media on listening behavior. The company also includes among its clients private equity firms and financial services companies seeking truthful guidance for the media sector.

Under Mr. Van Dyke's leadership, both of these companies continue to offer clients an enhanced view of today's state of the media industry.
